Children are invited to come in costume and take part in the afternoon parade, with costume judging planned across a range of age groups. Categories include ages 2 and under; ages 3 and 4; ages 5 and kindergarten; grades 1 and 2; grades 3 and 4; and grades 5 and up. The event will also recognize the best group costume, including adults, as well as the best dressed pet.
The Halloween Parade gives families a chance to gather in costume, cheer for their neighbors and mark the season together in one of Long Hill’s central community spaces. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to allow time to arrive before the 3 p.m. start, particularly for children who plan to participate in judging.
The event is presented by Long Hill Township Parks & Recreation with support from the Long Hill Chamber of Commerce and The Dog Stop Long Hill. Kantor Memorial Park is located at 915 Valley Road, Gillette.
